In Vishakapatnam there is a powerful place called Simhachalam. Lord Narasimha after killing Hiranyaksha in Varaha avatar, Manifested as Varaha Narasimha in Simhachalam. Here Simhachalam Lord Narasimha Idol will be in the shape of Shiv Linga with Varaha idol coming out front. God Narasimha manifested here was very aggressive in nature. Simhachalam Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple Significance:
Bagavad Ramanuja Acharya was the pioneer of Sri Vaishnava Bhakti movement and he visited the current Simhachalam Temple sanctum returning from Puri. He argued that the Linga Roopa varaha swamy was Indeed Lakshmi Narasimha according the Pancha Agama Sastras and made this kshetra as one of the 108 Divya Desams in India. Vishnu Purana and Sri Bagavad Purana clearly mentions the Varaha Narasimha in Simhachalam as one of the avtars of Lord Vishnu Narasimha. Many stories and local legends, archeological evidence gives the temple existence from 1500 years. Vijayanagara Empire was the patron for Lord Narasimha and they constructed and consecrated current temple complex. Many Lands and titles are sanctioned to Simhachalam temple after the victories in battles. Original temple was built by King Pururava during his stay with Urvasi and pururava got a dream about Varaha Narasimha Idol and he constructed the ancient temple.

Simhachalam Temple Special Entry Darshan Tickets & Arjitha Seva Online Booking:
AP Endowments & Temple department has taken over the Online tickets advance booking for Special Entry Darshan Tickets & Arjitha Sevas. People can book their tickets 2 days to 60 days in advance for their visit to Simhachalam.
Visit aptemples.ap.gov.in website and choose Sri Simhachalam temple image for tickets & online services page. Now Login into website using your user id password. If you do not have a registered user select Sign up.
Give the Identity details like Name, Age, Gender, Aadhar or UID number. Fill Address details like your residential street name, District, Town & State. Give Mobile number, email id for verification with OTP. Verify the account with OTP authentication.
Select Pratyaksha Seva option for Arjitha seva tickets booking. Select Special Darshan Option for Seegra Darshan Tickets of 100rs and 150 rs. Select Prasadam option for Online prasad tickets booking.
Select the calendar menu button to know the tickets availability dates. Select your planned date of visit to temple. Select Number of tickets required for darshan and fill the devotees details like Name, Age, ID proof & Gender.
Please verify all the entered details, dates selected and proceed to pay the money online. Wait for transaction receipt to generate the tickets. Carry your ID proof along with tickets hard copies for darshan entry.
