Pulicat Lake in Andhra Pradesh was home to many bird species and fauna. Indian sub-continent is a perfect paradise for migratory birds like Pelicans, Ducks, Swans & Particularly Flamingo birds. Every year in month of January or First half of February Government of Andhra Pradesh celebrates the Bio-diversity of Pulicat Lake & Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary for three days. The celebrations are called Flamingo Festival and here visitors, tourists & Bird watchers etc flock to view the forage, lifestyle of exotic birds from all over world. The Collector of Sri Balaji Tirupati District issued orders to prepare arrangement draft plan for upcoming Flaming Festival 2026 in Andhra Pradesh. He directed all the departments to give collective ideas and action plan for making Flamingo Festival success. The orders include Dates selection and Promotional video, Infrastructure & Sanitation facilities current status report. Once the framework is laid for Flamingo Festival in 2026, District collector will officially announce the Posters, dates, Promotional Video & Invitation cards to press.
