Bonalu is the official Festival of Telangana State Government and it is deeply routed in Indian mythology of Renuka Maata (Mother of Parashuram &amp; Wife of Jamadagni Maharshi), Kaalika Maata. Every Sunday, Tuesday &amp; Friday Devotees offer animal sacrifices for their VOWS redemption and celebrate with their family. Sri Renuka Yellamma Thalli Temple usually attracts more than 5000 visitors on week days, 4 to 5 lak devotees on Bonam Festival celebrations. Another attraction of Sri Yellamma Talli temple is Main Idol lies in a 10 feet deeper than road level ground. <p>Balkampeta Yellamma Thalli Temple is constructed by Local Gouda devotees as a sanctum for Mother Renuka Maata or Kalika Devi. She is also one of the Saptha Matruka Devathams in Shaktism and her grace is endless for any one who worships her. Local people annually offer Bonam from every house in Aashada Maasam or Mid-June &amp; July Month along with animal Sacrifices. Bonalu was the most famous celebration done in Balkampeta Yellamma Pochamma Temple every year. In mid 18th Century, A military regiment of Hyderabad city area was away to Ujjain for a campaign under East India Company. A plague brokeout in Secunderabad, Hyderabad areas claiming thousands of lives. So They prayed Maha Kalika Devi in Ujjain Mahakaleswar temple and installed Yellamma Temples in Balkampeta, Golconda and other areas. The Devi pleased by devotion of people eradicated the plague.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Sri Yellamma Pochamma Talli Bonalu Balkampeta Dates &amp; Schedule 2026:</h3>



<p>Bonalu means coveying gratitude to Sri Mahakalika Devi for her divine grace &amp; blessings. Every year Ladies and Sumangali, Unmarried girls prepare bonam with brass or earthenware pots decorated with neem leaves, Flowers etc. They travel to Each Yellamma temple on barefoot. Once they reach the temple they will sprinkle Haldi water or Turmeric water on the feet of Sri Yellamma Talli to pacify her anger &amp; Wrath. Once Bonam is offered in temple without mishaps, they will conclude their sacred vows by sacrificing Animals and celebrate with near and dear.</p>



<p>Male Devotees who have vowed to perform Tandavam of Potharaju will wear Sri Potharaju swamy costume and carry Whips while performing dance &amp; Singing on streets.</p>



<p>Sri Jagadamba Temple Bonam is celebrated on First Sunday in Aashadam Month. </p>



<p>Sri Balkampeta Yellamma Thalli Temple Bonam is celebrated on Second Sunday of Aashadam Month.</p>



<p>Sri Pochamma &amp; Katta Maisamma Bonam is celebrated on Third Sunday of Aashadam Month.</p>

<p>In Hindu Mythology Shiva &amp; Parvati are considered as  Adhi Dampatulu. Parvati in her before life was Sati devi daughter of Daksha Prajapati. Sati Devi immolated her self in Daksha Yagna because of the Insult by Daksha. Parameswara infuriated at the loss of Sati Devi created Veera Bhadra from his Hair and ordered him to stop DakshaYagna.  </p>



<p>Shiva devastated with Sati&#8217;s lifeless Body carried her on his shoulder and drowned into eternal grief. Maha Vishnu to protect the universe from Shivas grief, divided Sati Devis body into 18 pieces with his Sudarshana Chakra. The body parts fell over 18 divine places in India and the Sati Devi Yoni part fell on Neelachal Mountain @ Kamakhya at present day Guwahati in Assam state.</p>



<p>The Temple at Kamakhya was originally built by Rati devi wife of God Manmadha. Shiva burnt Manmadha with his trinetra because Manmadha shot his mystic love arrows on Shiva during his grief. Rati devi prayed shiva for her husband and shiva resurrected Manmadha in his previous form and powers. So the couple constructed the supreme center of creation at Kamakhya Yoni Peetam of Sati devi.</p>

<p>Each Ticket price for Special entry darshan is 300 rupees per person. The Special poojas which are available at the temple Reception office only.</p>



<p>Select number of Darshan Tickets required and enter the devotees details who are visiting the temple. Give Name, Age and ID proof details. Once the entered details are validated, Darshan Tickets are proceeded to online payment. Pay using online mode and wait for tickets to generate after transaction is successful.</p>
